The Leica 90mm F/2 Summicron-M is a short telephoto prime lens designed for the Leica M-mount system and is ideal for portrait photography and head shots.
The 90mm Summicron-M feels perfect in the hand. Built of anodized black aluminum and weighing in at 16.76oz (475g), the lens has a long, silky-smooth focus throw. The aperture ring clicks gently into each stop, from f/2 to f/16 in ½ stop increments. With five elements in four groups and an 11-blade diaphragm, this lens produces iconic buttery smooth bokeh with an outstanding depth of field.
The highly desired 90mm Summicron series of lenses have been a staple for Leica photographers since 1958. The 11136 versions are the third generation, introduced in 1980 with a newer optical design and inscribed ‘SUMMICRON-M’, originally available in 49mm filter size; this later version of the 11136 features a E55 (55mm) filter ring and was in production from 1982 to 1998.
With the Leica 90mm F/2 Summicron-M, you can expect an amazing sharpness, detail, contrast and color rendition perfect for portraits, sport scenes and so much more.
